This extension automatically sets the invoice number to be used in invoices/emails/etc.
It uses opencart events system so there is minimual core modifications and risk of conflicting with other extensions. Adds a new event called 'order_invoice_number_auto' that gets be called before: catalog/model/checkout/order/addOrderHistory/before.
- Install extension via Extension Installer
- Go to Extension -> Modules: and install 'Order - Invoice Number Auto'.
- Edit module and select the relevant complete order status.
Also the 'Invoice Prefix' can be updated automatically based on the date order is placed. E.g from store settings set value 'INV-{YEAR}-{MONTH}-' which will generate invoice number: INV-2016-12-11
